Roger Vitko is the founder and Managing Member of Tunze USA LLC, the exclusive US distributor for Tunze — a German aquarium technology company founded in 1959 by Norbert Tunze, the inventor of the first aquarium powerhead called the Turbelle. Roger opened an aquarium store in Austin, Texas in 1998, fell in love with Tunze products, built a personal relationship with Axel Tunze, and in 2001 became the official US distributor. Tunze specializes in premium aquarium equipment including pumps, powerheads, protein skimmers, wave controllers, auto top-off systems, and algae magnets. Roger has been involved in product development and maintains a close personal and professional relationship with the Tunze family spanning over two decades.
Roger also owns and operates Manchaca Bees and Trees, where he grows plants to sell to nurseries and other companies. He handles everything himself — from propagation to delivery. His focus is on Texas-exclusive plants, native species, and hard-to-find varieties that thrive in the Central Texas climate. His philosophy across every venture is the same: build things right, with care, from start to finish.
Heather Vitko is the Broker and Owner of Lacey Oak Realty, serving buyers and sellers across the Austin metro and Central Texas. She is an Austinite born and raised — watching the city grow from under 300k to nearly a million residents is part of what drew her to real estate. Heather holds a BBA in Marketing from Texas State University and an AAS in Real Estate Brokerage Licensing, graduating with a 4.0 GPA on the Chancellor's Honor Roll. She has 25 plus years of sales experience and closed over 2 million dollars in her first year as a realtor, doubling that by year two.
